THE BIKE:
A four minute drive from where I had spent the night at Comfort Inn Ebensburg and I was on the trail at 6:00 AM.
About 2 miles in, the trail splits into a loop.  Regardless of which way you go, it's going to be downhill first then uphill on the other side.  It's a workout for sure!
Just one very short newly paved road section where there was no traffic.
The sign says four of ten employee houses remain today.
Might this be one of those houses mentioned on the sign?
In Rexis you cross the road beyond the parking lot ...
... then a hard left to start the uphill grade on the other side heading back to Ebensburg.
Closing the loop and straight ahead back to Ebensburg.
Nice mural depicting the things you see along the trail.
Back at the huge parking lot.
I hadn't realized until the following day looking back over the previous 24 hours that I had slid in just before the wildfire smoke became worse.  I had probably finished this ride where the yellow bars began to turn orange.
